LA Galaxy veteran Landon Donovan has been named MLS Player of the Month.
Donovan recently announced he would be retiring at the end of this season.
But his searing month for the LA Galaxy -- three goals, six assists -- earned the soon-to-hang-'em-up star the Etihad Airways Player of the Month award for August.
