LA Galaxy captain Landon Donovan admits returning to Everton feels like coming home.
Donovan has enjoyed a stellar period in his career since his first stint on Merseyside - including a World Cup appearance and an MLS championship - but nothing has made him happier than his latest temporary switch.
"I feel I've improved as a player since my time here before. Since then I've played in a World Cup and had another couple of years' experience.
"So I feel good and I feel more prepared this time for what I'm getting into."
Such was the success of his first spell on Merseyside, the LA Galaxy man's return has been shrouded in much expectation.
"Life is about expectation," reflected Donovan in relaxed fashion. "Last time there was zero expectation.
"Now I know there is some level of expectation but that's something all footballers deal with. It's part of the job. I don't worry about that, I just want to enjoy my two months here. If I play the way I play, I think I can help the team." "From the kit man to the media people, everyone is friendly and happy and they're excited to be a part of this Club. It's infectious. I almost feel like a kid," he told evertonfc.com.
