Inter Milan are set to go after Martin Skrtel if he fails to sign a new contract with Liverpool.

Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that Nerazzurri boss Roberto Mancini is planning a summer swoop for the Slovakian centre-half whose current deal at Anfield expires at the end of next season.

The Reds are trying desperately to tie Skrtel down to an extension but the 30-year old is believed to be stalling over a new deal which has alerted Inter who are intent on a summer splurge in order to bounce back from this season's poor showing.
