Inter Milan boss Mourinho admits they're Scudetto favourites

Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho can't deny they're overwhelming Scudetto favourites after last night's 3-0 win at Lazio.

"It is not easy to win, even if a team is strong. We are strong and the players have a fantastic spirit, so I want to publicly thank this squad, not just the XI who go on the field," he said.

"The most important thing in football is balance, both psychologically and tactically. That is how you find a real team and that is what we are."

This win means the six-point lead at the top of the table will remain intact and could even grow, as Juventus travel to Lecce and a decimated Milan welcome Catania on Sunday.

"It is only December and so not even half-way to the Scudetto, but with my experience of winning titles in Portugal and England, I am convinced this is a great side.

"Having said that, I want to keep calm and not get too ahead of myself, as football can turn around and bite you. I don't want to be bitten. I'm not interested in being the Winter Champion, I want to win it in May."

Mourinho had special praise for Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso after the win.

"Cambiasso reminds me of Fernando Redondo, who also was not all that fast, but thought much faster than anyone else, and in football that is more important.

"He is tactically very intelligent and can read the game brilliantly. He can push the opponents, push his own teammates and push into the forward line to get a goal."
