Hull City manager Steve Bruce backs flop signing Abel Hernandez to strike up a dangerous partnership with Dame N'Doye.
Bruce was very encouraged with the display of Uruguayan forward Hernandez during his side's 3-2 defeat at the hands of Chelsea at the KC Stadium last time out and now the Tigers boss has backed the strike duo to continue with their potent form in front of goal from now until the end of the season.
"Against Chelsea, we were without Jelavic - and Tom Huddlestone and Mo Diame - yet we still managed to put in a hell of a performance because we've got people who can step in, such as N'Doye and Abel," said Bruce ahead of the weekend's trip to Swansea City.
"Abel has been showing all the signs and he's played against England's two best centre-backs, John Terry and Gary Cahill, and given them a hell of a going over. That bodes well.
"It was good for him to score, especially after he had that earlier chance (saved by Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois).
"I'm convinced he'll be a goalscorer and a good player for us. Sometimes you just have to wait."
