Heart of Midlothian have confirmed they will offer manager Paulo Sergio a new deal.
The Portuguese tactician was set to come out of contract this summer but made it clear that he wanted to remain at Tynecastle after guiding the Jambos to victory in the Scottish Cup final over Hibernian on Saturday.
Sergio admitted he was p***ed off that club owner Vladimir Romanov had not spoken to him about a new contract but director Sergejus Fedotovas has since revealed a fresh proposal is in the offing.
"Now we hope to speak with him at some stage later this week. We also have to wait and see what Paulo has to say.
"But we look forward to inviting him to accept the proposal we have for him.""We want Paulo to stay and we have already had progressive talks," Fedotovas told SunSport.
