Incoming Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is expected to offer an assistants role to Ryan Giggs according to reports.
The Daily Star suggests that the current Holland national team boss, who is the front runner for the Old Trafford vacancy, will make a proposal to current interim manager Giggs.
It was believed that van Gaal was set to bring Patrick Kluivert with him as his first team coach but fresh reports indicate that club legend Giggs will simply step down from his caretaker role and work alongside the experienced Dutchman instead.
van Gaal is keen to bring the rest of his own coaching staff with him to Old Trafford meaning the likes of Phil Neville, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt (who were brought in by Giggs) and Chris Woods will be moving on in the summer.
