Ford, Bradley win Kilmarnock contracts

Simon Ford has penned a new contract with Kilmarnock.

Ford's existing contract was due to expire next month, but he has now signed a new two-and-half-year deal.

The 26-year-old admitted he considered a return to England before pledging his future to Killie.

"I thought about moving because football is a short career and you have to look after yourself," Ford told the Daily Record. "I spoke to my family about moving but they are settled in Scotland and really enjoy it up here. I didn't want to uproot them again.

"I'm settled and the manager wanted to keep me. I'm happy here, so rather than up and leave and start somewhere new - which doesn't always work out - I was pleased to sign a new deal."

Meanwhile, Falkirk are set to offer former Arsenal youngster Stephen Bradley a deal after the Irishman impressed on trial. He is currently out of contract after a spell with Drogheda United.
