FC Dallas coach Hyndman careful with Mauro Diaz introduction

FC Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman says he'll be patient with new signing Mauro Diaz.

The young Argentine arrived in Dallas on Wednesday.

Hyndman told dallasnews.com: "I think his vision definitely is going to be something that's very helpful to us but it's still an adjustment to this league. It's going to be an adjustment," Hyndman said. "It's wintertime right now in Argentina, so it's an adjustment to the heat, adjustment to new coach, new teammates and then also adjusting to the athletic, physical play in the league. We're really excited to have him but we're also a little cautious that we don't get him hurt.

"He's a player that grew up in a very, very good football environment with River Plate. River Plate is known as a factory where they generate and develop so many players. So he's part of that factory, that development and there's things they have to do to stay involved with the club," Hyndman said. "Whether it's vision, whether it's technical ability, if you'll look at a lot of the Argentine players, very few of them are big, strong, athletic players but they're very quick and they're very good decision makers with good vision."
