New York Red Bulls have confirmed the signing of forward Mike Grella.
The 28-year old New York native returns to his home city following a successful trial with the Red Bulls which has landed him a contract with the MLS club. Per league rules, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Grella most recently spent time in the North American Soccer League (NASL) with the Carolina RailHawks last season but will now suit up in the USA and Canada's top flight after a career spent in England, Denmark and the lower leagues of American soccer.
Of the signing, Red Bulls head coach Jesse Marsch told the club's official website: "Mike has come into camp and earned this contract.
"He showed up and has worked hard since day one. His form has been great, but his attitude and work ethic have been even better."
Some of Grella's former clubs include Leeds United, Carlisle United, Swindon Town, Brentford, Bury, Scunthorpe United and Viborg FF.M
