Everton keeper Howard hoping for Man Utd triumph

Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard is desperately hoping his team can record their first win of the English Premier League season this weekend.

The Toffees, currently sitting in 18th place, take on perennial title contenders Manchester United at Goodison Park and the USA international sees it as a great chance to really get the season started for the Merseysiders.

"There's always a game or two that seems to kick-start the season and light a fire under you," Howard told Sky Sports.

"We're playing pretty good, but things haven't been falling for us, one or two individual mistakes in the first couple of games have cost us goals."

Everton have recorded just one point from their first three matches but will be looking to improve on that against Howard's former club on Saturday.
