Espanyol have rejected an approach from Tottenham for fullback Steve Finnan.

Sport says Finnan is angling for a return to England, where he has been linked with Spurs and Arsenal.

Tottenham have made a firm bid for the ex-Liverpool defender, but new Espanyol coach Mane sees Finnan as critical for the second-half of the season.
