Dunfermline Athletic chairman John Yorkston has revealed that Jim Jefferies has been signed as the club's new manager.
Reports suggested the Pars were keen on securing the former Kilmarnock and Heart of Midlothian boss until the end of the season but Yorkston has confirmed that Jefferies, who will be unveiled today, will take the reins at East End Park for longer than was initially expected.
"The club are delighted to secure the services of someone with a proven track record, someone with such a vast experience in football management.""Jim has signed a deal with Dunfermline and it is not just until the end of the season," Yorkston said.
Jefferies will step into the role vacated by Jim McIntyre, who was sacked on Friday, and will be in charge of the Dunfermline team for this Saturday's home clash with St Mirren.
