Barracked by home fans during last night's victory over Deportivo La Coruna, Real Madrid wing-back Royston Drenthe admits he's struggling to cope.

The Dutch youngster said: "Every day when I come home, I think about what is happening to me because I want to give more to Real Madrid. Now I am very sad and I know that these are things of football, I must be strong.

"I must try to win back the support of the people who now leave me feeling so bad.

"There are players like Sergio Ramos, Raul, Guti and (Gabriel) Heinze who are supporting me. Also Marcelo who, like me, is being targeted. I'm hurt. It makes me very sad."
