Crespo thrilled as he leaves Genoa for Parma return

Hernan Crespo has left Genoa to sign with Parma in a shock move.

Going in the opposite direction is Parma veteran Nicola Amoruso.

Crespo has left Genoa on a permanent basis for the club where he started his Serie A career back in August 1996, aged 21.

"I'm speechless," he grinned. "My happiness goes beyond anything I could possibly describe. I can't believe it!

"My happiest memory at Parma was the last-gasp 1-1 against Juventus, it was just incredible, as we had been reduced to nine men.

"I went crazy and I remember all my teammates and then Coach Alberto Malesani landed on top of me!

"I have always been a Parma fan and so coming back here is an extraordinary feeling."
