Manchester City have made a late move for Nancy fullback Mickael Chretien.

Chretien was all set to sign with Real Betis before City made their late push, revealed his agent Jacques Crouzel.

"The English club made their approach today (Thursday)," said Crouzel. "We're now waiting for their offer."
