Soccer by Ives has reported that Chicago Fire and goalkeeper Jon Busch will go their separate ways.
The news comes on the eve of the 2010 MLS season with the man who has started every league game for the past two seasons set to be released.
It is believed that the conditions of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement have forced the Fire to make the move because Busch would demand too much salary which the club is not prepared to pay.
Busch is expected to either traded or released prior to the season opener against New York Red Bulls on the weekend which would see 24-year old shot-stopper Andrew Dykstra become the Fire's number one.
