FIFA have granted Didier Drogba provisional clearance to play for Galatasaray.

The Ivory Coast international striker joined the Turkish club on loan from Shanghai Shenhua last month but the Chinese club lodged a complaint because he had broken a contract which runs until next year. However, FIFA have decided to authorise the provisional registration of the former Chelsea star allowing him to make his debut on Friday against Akhisar and step out in the Champions League against Schalke next week.
