Cesc Fabregas is set to make a first appearance for Arsenal this summer at an open training session. The Daily Express says he will be able to gauge Arsenal supporters' reaction for the first time since admitting that he wants to rejoin Barcelona.
Gunners captain Fabregas misses this weekend's Emirates Cup, returning to training from his post-World Cup holiday on Tuesday, 48 hours before the club members' day.
As part of the event, Fabregas will take part in an open training session in front of 10,000 fans at the Emirates stadium and is also due to be part of the club's official photocall for the new season.
Arsenal have already promised Fabregas will keep the skipper's armband if he stays put and the club are confident he will be largely welcomed back by supporters.
