Celtic's Rogic linked with Vegalta Sendai loan

Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic is being linked with a loan move to Japanese club Vegalta Sendai.

The 20-year old Australian international is receiving limited game time in Scotland and could quite possibly be sent to the J.League to work with his former Central Coast Mariners boss Graham Arnold who was recently appointed as Vegalta manager.

Socceroos boss Ange Postecoglou, who saw Rogic perform impressively as a second-half sub in Tuesday night's 1-0 win over Costa Rica, has backed the possible move.

"I think that would be fantastic," Postecoglou told Fox Football Podcast on Wednesday.

"Arnie knows him, we know Arnie is a fantastic coach ... he's got the best out of Tommy and the J-League is a strong competition.

"I don't see why not.

"It's a World Cup year. There wouldn't be a player on the planet who is going to a World Cup who wouldn't for the next six months think the best move for him would be to play regular football."
