Catania coach Sinisa Mihajlovic admits he tried to convince Inter Milan to sign Stevan Jovetic ahead of Fiorentina.
Mihajlovic was an assistant coach at Inter under Roberto Mancini.
"At this time, Jovetic is in really great shape and that makes me very happy because I admire him a lot. I had already followed the young Montenegrin from his time at Partizan and wanted to bring him to Inter," he explained at a press conference.
"If he can continue to play at these levels he will become a vital player in world football."
