Scotland coach George Burley has included Barry Ferguson in his plans for the friendly with Argentina. Ferguson is named in a 26-man squad for next Wednesday's Hampden clash.

Ferguson has yet to play for Burley because of ankle problems but he has gradually returned to the Rangers team in recent weeks following summer surgery.

"I don't think he is 100% fit yet," Burley said. "But there are another two games that Rangers have to play so we will be looking at that carefully.

"He got 35 minutes against Kilmarnock on Sunday, so it's a case of looking at it and speaking to Barry.

"But it's great to include him in the squad."
