Buffon delighted with cleansheet on Juventus comeback

Gigi Buffon was delighted with his winning comeback for Juventus in last night's Coppa victory. The goalkeeper had been out of action with a back injury since the World Cup game with Paraguay on June 14 and last played for the Bianconeri on May 15.

"It was a very nice feeling to be back!" he grinned after the 2-0 Coppa Italia win over Catania.

"For someone who has won the World Cup and played in the Champions League Final, you might think a Coppa Italia game wouldn't mean much, but I am really satisfied with this positive performance."

Buffon only really had one difficult save to make in the final minutes on a deflected Simone Pesce strike.

"If I hadn't got that one, I would've retired on the spot," he laughed.

"I have fully recovered now and want to thank the fans from the bottom of my heart. Their affection has been immense."
