Blackburn won't let Hull, Crystal Palace target Gestede leave for cheap

Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer has revealed that they will not be selling Hull City target Rudy Gestede on the cheap despite their current financial predicament.

Gestede was constantly linked with a move to the KC Stadium during the January transfer window but the move did not come to fruition as the two parties could not agree a fee.

It is expected that Hull will look to renew their interest in Gestede in the upcoming summer and Blackburn will be most likely be forced into parting with their star striker due to their dire need of funds.

Nonetheless, Rovers manager Bowyer has stated that the Lancashire club's financial situation will not affect Gestede's transfer and insisted that the striker will not be sold on the cheap to interested outfits Hull or Crystal Palace.

Bowyer told The Times: "The owners are saying the valuations have to be met because if we did sell (Gestede) on the cheap, I have lost a player and not got anywhere near reducing the debt for the embargo to be lifted."
