AZ Alkmaar striker Jozy Altidore has been rewarded for a fantastic individual season with selection in De Telegraaf's Dutch Eredivisie Team of the Year.

The 23-year old USA international scored 23 league goals for Alkmaar which landed him a spot in the best XI as published by Holland's most popular daily paper, becoming the first American to do so.

Altidore, who also netted eight times in AZ's successful Dutch cup campaign, joins the likes of Ajax star Christian Eriksen, Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony and Ajax keeper Kenneth Vermeer in the select.
