Athletic Bilbao have reportedly turned down an offer from Manchester City for Aymeric Laporte.

Reports in Spain suggest that Bilbao rejected City's initial £18million bid for the 20-year old centre-back and have implored the reigning English champions to return with an improved proposal if they want to land him.

It is believed that the Basque outfit have a £30m release clause on France U21 international Laporte who is contracted at San Mames until the summer of 2018.
