Atalanta director general Pierpaolo Marino has announced the signing of Mario Yepes.

Yepes arrives on a free transfer from AC Milan.

"We're happy and he will arrive with great enthusiasm," said Marino. "He's really motivated to do well, especially with the World Cup next summer.

"He wants to have a great season."
