The Express reports that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger sees the 27-year old Italy international as a possible option if they miss out on Paris Saint-Germain star Edinson Cavani.

However, Arsenal face competition to sign the former Roma and Fiorentina man, who has 13 international caps to his name, as he is also on the radar of Southampton.
