AS Roma are chasing Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke.

Benteke has revived his form under new Villa manager Tim Sherwood, which has brought him to the attention of bigger clubs.

Alfredopedulla.com says Roma are among his suitors and hope to bring the Belgian to Italy over the summer.

Indeed, Roma chiefs would love to see Benteke in a Giallorossi shirt and are prepared to break the bank to land the centre-forward.

However, intermediaries have warned Roma that Chelsea are also lurking, where manager Jose Mourinho sees Benteke as a replacement for veteran Didier Drogba.
