Agent-sharing leads to Southampton link with Galatasaray's Sneijder

Wesley Sneijder's proposed move to Southampton has come about due to a close link with manager Ronald Koeman.

The Holland international has been heavily linked with a January move to the Saints with reports suggesting Turkish club Galatasaray are getting set to offload him in the winter transfer window.

Former Real Madrid and Inter Milan attacking midfielder was managed by Koeman at Ajax between 2002 and 2005 but the ties go even deeper as the pair share agent Guido Albers.

It is believed that Sneijder earns around £50,000-a-week at financially troubled Galatasaray, who want to get him off their wage bill, but will be more realistic with his salary demands in order to gain a move to the Premier League.
