Wobbling Juventus to test Liverpool resolve with Agger offer

Juventus are expected to make bid for Liverpool defender Dan Agger in the coming days.

Juve are in talks with Liverpool about a permanent deal for Alberto Aquilani and will make an offer for the Dane.

The Biaconeri have shipped seven goals in their first two games of 2011 - their worst defensive performance in over 22 years.

Liverpool are asking €10 million for Agger, who is also in talks with Napoli.

Napoli have tabled Agger's minders a contract offer worth €1.3 million-a-year, while the defender is seeking closer to €1.8 million-a-year.
