Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce is chasing Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant.
Bruce will need a replacement at the end of the season for Antonio Valencia, who has been strongly linked with Manchester United, and has been monitoring Pennant's form with Portsmouth, says the Manchester Evening News.
