Solidity at the back key to Palace's fine start to campaign

Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman says his side's fifth place position in the Championship is down to solid defending. "We looked very solid and I haven't seen in the last couple of games Watford or Bristol City creating too many chances," said Freedman.

"As a forward player it gives you more confidence when your back six are looking nice and strong.

"It gives you confidence to go and try things you might not try if you're 1-0 down.

"A lot of hard work goes into defending and we're doing it very well right now."
