Davide Santon is happy to have signed permanently with Inter Milan.

The Italy defender signed outright from Newcastle United last month.

"After four years at Newcastle, it's an honour to be back at Inter," Santon said, speaking at a youth workshop.

"I'm glad to be here and I hope I can stay for a long time. I've had hard times, but football is about those things too.

"My experience in the Premier League helped me to grow, football is lived in a different way over there.

"Now I'm happy to be back home."
