Pavlyuchenko "terribly indecisive" about Tottenham move

Former Spartak Moscow striker Roman Pavlyuchenko admits he was hesitant about his move to Tottenham.

He said: "I was terribly indecisive about it. I kept telling everyone that I wasn't going to England. I couldn't decide to go or not.

"But in the end England proved too tempting. On Monday I told myself: 'I'm going to stay with Spartak.' But on Tuesday it suddenly occurred to me: 'no, I must go!' I talked again to my wife Larisa and she supported me.

"Believe me I didn't decide to go because Tottenham offered me more money. The only thing which stopped going was my family. It was hard to imagine how both of us and our little daughter would leave the place we are so much accustomed to."
