Newcastle United are tracking the form of FC Twente youngster Luc Castaignos according to reports.
The Magpies sent scouts to watch the 22-year old striker for Holland's U21 side in their Euro2015 qualifying loss to Portugal last Thursday as they continue their interest in his services.
Newcastle have been keen on Castaignos for some time now with The Chronicle suggesting they may look to go after the promising talent in January when Papiss Cisse heads off for international duty with Senegal at the 2015 African Cup of Nations.
Castaignos has been in fine form in the Dutch Eredivisie this season with five goals in eight appearances for Twente.
