Marcos Senna has urged Barcelona to deal in Daniel Alves.

Former Villarreal and Spain midfielder Senna, 38, is now playing with Real Madrid legend Raul at New York Cosmos.

"I know Alves well, we all know that he is a great player. I would not think twice to renew him," Senna told Cope Radio.

"Hopefully he can continue."

Alves' deal will expire in June, with his agent declaring this week they're close to agreeing terms with a rival club.
