Genoa have dropped their pursuit of Inter Milan striker Antonio Cassano.

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi met with Cassano's agent on Friday.

"Cassano is in advanced talks with Parma, so it would be pointless for us to try to intercept those at this stage.

"I will admit, I say that with regret. We discussed other things with Bozzo, as he is an agent who represents many players."
