The veteran defender is off contract in June and yet to open talks about a new deal at Old Trafford.

Buoyed by the star power generated from deals for Didier Drogba and Wesley Sneijder, Gala president Unal Aysal is now exploring the prospect of Ferdinand moving to Istanbul next season.

Ferdinand has no plans to hang up his boots when his United contract expires and is open to playing abroad in his final years.
