DC United are looking at the possibility of taking Real Salt Lake defender Robbie Russell in December's MLS Re-Entry Drafts.
The 32-year old Ghanaian-born American is out of contract with RSL and unless he reaches an agreement with the club this week, he will be available in the December 5 and 12 drafts, which were created in 2010 with the new collective bargaining agreement.
With four seasons of MLS service after arriving from Viborg FF, Russell is available to move within the competition without RSL requiring compensation and DC are showing plenty of interest.
