Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits Alexis Sanchez will miss the start of next season due to the Copa America.

Sanchez scored a wonderful 30-yard goal in Arsenal's 4-0 win in the FA Cup final but now will be a key part of Chile's team in a tournament which runs from June 11 to July 4.

"I would prefer him to have a good holiday because we played 56 games," said Wenger. "And now it's not ideal that he goes to Copa America. It finishes in July and I will give him four-week holiday."

Wenger also revealed that Arsenal's players had organised the post Cup final celebrations - but that he intended to join in late into the night.

Wenger said: "The players have organised it all. I don't know where we go but I will follow. I have organised the whole year tonight I just want to follow."
