The Canada international says he's used his first six months in Milan as an adjustment period.
He told One Soccer: "The move to Inter? It's a process. I have to be patient. Obviously it's a different level in the approach to every match, every training session.
"I compete and play together with some of the best players in the world. It's what we want as players, everyone pushes you and this makes you a better player. My teammates and the coach help me a lot. I take things day by day and try to take advantage of the opportunities to prove that I can play at this level."
He added: "Honestly everything in the club is top notch, including the chefs. I really like the food. My time in Italy has been wonderful so far, now I'm focused on the Copa America and then next season with Inter."
