Spurs release statement on Bissouma robbery

The midfielder was reportedly with his wife at a French hotel when he was tear-gassed.

Bissouma is also believed to have been robbed of around £260,000 at the time.

Two hooded men were said to have attacked the 27-year-old at 4am when he got out of his car at Promenade de la Croisette.

A Spurs statement read: "We are aware of the incident that took place and we will continue to check on the welfare of Yves and his family."

The club are likely to put out more information when it becomes available to the public.
