Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is pushing to be offered a new contract.
The attacking midfielder wants to end his career, or at least the prime years of it, at Old Trafford.

The Guardian states that Fernandes is seeking a salary to rival that of Marcus Rashford, Casemiro and Jadon Sancho.
He is not the highest earner at the club, despite being club captain and the team’s talisman.
United will now have to assess whether the 29-year-old is worth making such an investment.
The club may prefer to let his existing contract run, as his deal does not expire until the summer of 2026.
