Feyenoord goalkeeper coach Nieminen admits Liverpool option was considered

He was expected to head with his old boss Arne Slot to England to take on the Liverpool job.

While Slot has taken most of his Feyenoord coaches, a move for Nieminen has not materialized.

This week, he said: "The Liverpool thing was on, and of course I was thinking about it.

“With a very high probability, I will continue with Feyenoord next season as well. The situation will change if it changes."

Liverpool keeper coaches John Achterberg and Jack Robinson have left this summer, but Brazilian icon Taffarel is still present in the camp.
