Swansea City goalkeeper Gerhard Tremmel is ready to take on all comers next month.
With Michel Vorm needing a knee op, Swansea will seek to sign a new keeper in January.
But Tremmel, 35, admits he will relish the battle even if he will have a fight on his hands to remain as No.1.
Tremmel said: "I'm always happy when I'm playing and I always try my best. I want to give the team as much as possible.
"It's even better when I can have a few games in a row, as then you can get into a rhythm.
"Everyone wants to get confidence so you can show your best on the pitch."
