Tottenham star Heung-Min Son admits he loved his time with Hamburg.

So much so, that he admits he never wanted to leave the German giants.

"Actually, I never wanted to leave Hamburg because I felt very good there," he recalled to Spox.

"That's why the exit hurt so much."

Son left for Bayer Leverkusen before being sold to Spurs.

However, he also revealed: "I was not getting playing time and wanted to go back to Germany because I felt very well there. But the coach (Mauricio Pochettino) gave me courage to push on."
