Tottenham captain Lloris hails Kane: He can do everything; goals or not

Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris has highlighted the unselfishness of striker Harry Kane.

Kane, the reigning Premier League golden boot winner, hasn't scored in Tottenham's last three wins, but has assisted in six of the 12 goals registered against West Ham, Newcastle and Aston Villa.

"Harry understands the manager's system very well," said Lloris. "He understands his task and responsibilities very well.

"As you can see, he enjoys very much dropping (deep) to get the ball and make assists. We know he can make the difference in any moment.

"Whether he's close to the goal or not, he can do everything, and it's a big skill. It is a big help for the team when you have a player like him."

Spurs have climbed from ninth when Antonio Conte arrived in November.

"Since day one, we can feel the improvement," said Lloris. "We can feel the way he wants us to play.

"We faced difficulties and a tough moment in February with a few defeats that hurt the confidence of the team. But with the work -- and it's no secret, with the repetition of work -- we are at the level we're are today.

"This is not the moment to decrease our level, we need to push until the end. But we all enjoy it. We all enjoy playing together, suffering together. Against Villa, it was a big battle.

"Their players deserve a lot of credit. It was like a storm in the first half but we stayed alive. And then we knew we had the quality."
