Torino president Urbano Cairo insists Blerim Dzemaili has not been sold to Palermo.

"That is simply not the case, there is no deal for Dzemaili," said Cairo.

"There is no news on this matter and I want to remind everyone that I really don't wish to sell Dzemaili. I like this player very much and would like to keep him.

"Although our rapport with Zamparini remains excellent, there really is no agreement with Palermo for Dzemaili.

"The Swiss midfielder remains our player and if possible we'd like him to stay that way."
