Greenwood scores twice and creates another in Getafe win

Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood struck twice for Getafe in victory against Almeria yesterday.

The Englishman scored 0-1 in the 26th minute and 1-2 in the 48th minute. It is Greenwood's first double in the Spanish league. In Spain, he had scored two goals in the same game, but it happened in the first round of the Copa del Rey, when Getafe beat Tardienta 0-12

The last time Greenwood scored a double in league competition was when he was playing for United. It happened on April 18, 2021, three years ago. United faced Burnley at Old Trafford and Greenwood made it 1-0 in the 48th minute and 2-0 in the 84th minute. United ended up winning that match 3-1. The other goal for the Reds was scored by Edinson Cavani.

Yesterday, Greenwood also created Jaime Mata's goal to make it 3-1.
